Dude, you are going to hate me for this, but the incubation period for pink-eye is like 24-72 hours. The Moosh not only didn’t get pink-eye at school, she was highly contagious while she was there. She’s Pink-eyed Mooshie! Kick my ass at BlogHer.
But as far as those other little monsters are concerned, consider it back-back-in-advance for all of the lice and strep Moosh will have to endure. Or a preemptive strike. Hoooya!
But are you sure it’s pink-eye? Looks like some hooligan PUNCHED her. Monsters.
Oh no! We had pink eye 2 weeks ago. I wonder if they closed all the schools and if we quarantine our kids for 3 or 4 days while they bleach everything, if we would be rid of pink eye forever. Where else does it come from?
I’m just glad some little bully didn’t punch her. That’s what I thought at first. But get ready, this will be the first of many unwanted things she’ll bring home.
Holy Hell, that still exists? That is like wild fire! Kids are like bacteria dishes! They multiply and replenish the earth with germs! That is insane that it happened that fast. Poor little moosh!
Poor Moosh! That is so sad. But I have to say, I LOVE that first picture. She is so FREAKING cute. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her curls. Good luck with the pink eye – and forgiving the stinking kids who gave it to her!
Aw. Poor thing!
Mine got it last year like a week into Kindergarten, and pretty much looked just like that, but in both eyes. It was bad. The drops were worse.
Torture, anyone?
BUT, I will have to say that once we did start the drops, she was completely better in less than 2 days.
Good luck!!
Oh Poor Moosh!! We went through Pink Eye right before Christmas with all 4 of us. You and Moosh have my sympathies and far far away hugs
There are homeopathic otc drops or drops from the doctor. The sooner, the better.
Great kid drop trick (or squeamish adults)
lay them on their back. close their eyes. put the drops in the corner of their eyes (tear ducts) when they open their eyes, the drops just roll in.
Try the Similasan eye drops with belladonna . They are really soothing. We did the rounds this summer, and the eye drops helped. Of course, putting them in is no fun.
Comments off.

I hate pink eye. HATE IT.
Trying to convince my kids that putting Neosporin in their eye will not kill them was always SO lovely.
I hope Moosh gets better, soon!
