So I’ve been at this local blogging conference for the last two days. Bunches of bloggers from Indiana hanging out eating cookies. In fact, it’s a lot like BlogHer.

No, wait. It’s nothing like BlogHer.

First of all, a majority of the people here? Dudes.

Second of all? No dancing.

Third? Ever been the only mommyblogger in a room full of not mommybloggers? My guess is that this is how the smelly kid in class feels. No one really wants to tell me I smell either. No one ever wants to be the one to tell the smelly kid they smell.

Bummer.

The weather here has been AMAZING.

So is everyone else’s weather delicious or did we steal it all? Is it too hot were you are? Too cold where you are? It’s so perfect here the desire to lie naked on a rock like a lizard is almost overwhelming.

I love some good weather. We get it in November and March. That’s about it here in Cent FL.

It has been gorgeous up here in the Chicago area. I’m loving it!!! My birthday is in August and I always associate the time immediately before and after my big day with the most disgustingly hot part of the yar. But not this year. This is as close to perfect as I can imagine.

Yes, like Jill, we’ve been enjoying the lovely weather in the far north ‘burbs of Chicago (or the way-south burbs of Milwaukee…depending on who’s talkin’). We went to the beach and have even dined outside. And it’s nice, because from November to APRIL (not kidding…hullo…April is supposed to be a spring-y month, but not here), we wear winter coats.

Blech. Me? Naked in public? Not pretty. Thank you to my two babies for those lovely stretch marks that make being naked or wearing a bikini a sight of hideousness.

The weather here? Is quite comparable to a dry sauna. It is HOT. I yearn for winter, although when it finally hits, I’ll be yearning for the time that I was sweating all day while my snot freezes as I walk through the mile-high snow drifts

It’s been pretty nice lately considering it’s New York City. And by “nice,” I mean the air feels like jello and not pudding. But then again, I’m from Colorado, and any altitude below 5,000 feet feels like a tub of yucky. But eighty degrees in August? I’ll take that and run with it.
