    It’s GORGEOUS!

@pgoodness, How soon can you be here?

  2. I have a question…whatever did you do with those fabulous globe light ;)

    Casey Reply:

@Janine, Uh. Ever see Office Space? Where they beat the printer? Yeah…

  3. WowwwwW! What a transformation!

Can I just watch you bake something fancy in all that fancy-ness? I don’t even need to eat it, I just want to watch.

And maybe touch the beautiful floor.

    Casey Reply:

@ClassyFabSarah, Please do, only you must eat as well too. I’ll even let you eat on the floor.

    ClassyFabSarah Reply:

@Casey, I just hope there’s not much toe jam on the floor cause that would most definitely ruin eating off of it.

    Otherwise, I’m in.

    Casey Reply:

@ClassyFabSarah, I do not have toe jam. Fluff occasionally, jam never. :)

  4. What are those 9 circle thingies on the side of your fridge?

    Casey Reply:

@Malia, IKEA. Magnetic spice holders. Looove.

    Malia Reply:

@Casey, Oh, now that is cool! How neat!

    Midwest Mommy Reply:

    @Malia,
I was wondering the same thing! Must head to ikea this week!

    Kari Reply:

@Casey, Can we get a closeup of the spice racks? I’m very interested to see what they really look like!

    Casey Reply:

@Kari, Here’s the link on IKEA, will that do? http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80102919

    Kari Reply:

@Casey, I found them on there, but I was having trouble visualizing how you’re actually using them. Did you just fill each one with a spice and stick it to the fridge?

    Casey Reply:

@Kari, I have Toothpicks in one, sprinkles in another, poppy seeds, bay leaves, crushed red pepper…on and on…so pretty much yes, spices and little things I use in the kitchen.

    memphislis Reply:

@Casey, I was wondering the same thing!! Show them up close?

  7. Oh that is GLORIOUS!! Very nice work triangle, I’m guessing things just taste better in that kitchen….

    Casey Reply:

@Michelle, Everything tastes better in this house. It’s magical.

  8. Fantastic! I love the paint color, especially.

  9. Verra nice!

    Casey Reply:

    @Al_Pal, Thank you thank yooouu.

  10. Your floors look like a giant chocolate bar! Beautiful home, congrats!

    Casey Reply:

@Jamie, can you imagine if they were chocolate? Or at least chocolate scented? ZOMG.

    Jamie Reply:

@Casey, OHH! Chocolate scented would be amazing! You should invent that!

    Casey Reply:

@Jamie, I think I would either end up quite large or it would have some other disasterous effect.

  11. GORGEOUS!
    FANTSTIC!
    WONDERFUL!
Oh my word… I want to eat of your floors! It looks perfect!

Congratulations on a most GORGEOUS kitchen!

    So is everything done now?

    Casey Reply:

@Erika, Thank you! Everything we needed someone else to do is done. Now everything left is up to us. Like you know, unpacking everything else. Blech.

  12. Can I come over for dinner?! I’ll bring my red velvet cupcakes :)

    Casey Reply:

@Magda, Yes. I’ll make chocolate cake for dinner.

  13. Sam temptingmama says:

  14. It’s absolutely gorgeous! I’d love to have a kitchen like that!

    Casey Reply:

    @Bethany, Thank you! I still can’t believe I do.

  15. So purty! I love the pops of red against the Whole Wheat walls.

    Casey Reply:

@Jennifer, All this time I thought I was going to have a red kitchen and it ended up fiber colored. heh.

  16. Can I come live with you? To earn my keep, I’ll gladly clean that kitchen. It’s gorgeous.

    Casey Reply:

@C @ Kid Things, Oh yes of course. But vacuuming my domain. Everything else can be yours.

  17. Oh that’s gorgeous! I’m jealous :) Wish we were able to do something that fabulous.

    Casey Reply:

@Kristi of Million Dream Mom, We were so lucky to be able to do this and have it turn out this way, I never would have imagined it could have turned out like this.

  18. Wow, fabulous. I have serious kitchen envy. (But I think you knew that your photo would do that to me!)

    Casey Reply:

@michelle, Heh. If it helps I’m still in shock that anything I own looks like that.

  19. WOW!! It’s gorgeous!!! I don’t think I’d ever want to leave my kitchen if it looked like that!!

    Casey Reply:

@Eternal Lizdom, Downside is there’s no direct sunlight into it, mama needs her sunshine. But other than that? Perfection.

  20. *LICK*

    Casey Reply:

@Jen, Hold on, I’ll at least make you some brownies to lick.

    Jen Reply:

    @Casey, ooh even better!

  21. I’m coveting your stove. Would you mind if I borrow it for a bit? I’m in the city, so I’ll be over soon to load it into the minivan.
    Many Thanks.

    Casey Reply:

@Lizzy, It’s only been mine for three days. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t kiss it goodnight every night.

  22. We just put in one of those kitchen lights. Ikea, yes? :)

    Ikea is fabulous…

    Casey Reply:

@Mel, IKEA! Yes! It makes a huge difference doesn’t it! Especially for only $50!

  23. Lovely! And you did really well with the light fixtures, they’re very cool.

    Casey Reply:

@cindy w, Thank you! It was all the lovely suggestions of my friends that got them there! The Internet has good taste (hello! you!)

  24. Your kitchen is saying to me, “Come on in! EAT! Talk! Laugh!” It’s gorgeous.

    Casey Reply:

@Candace, Thank you! Open invitation always!

    Candace Reply:

@Casey, One of these dreary winter days….we’d LOVE to. I know Hannah has had a lot of fun with Addi whenever they’ve played. Plus, you need to snuggle and get spit up on by my little dude! :) Say the word…and we’re there.

  25. Your kitchen looks awesome! Now come and visit me and re-do mine too ;)

    Casey Reply:

@Nicole, Uh, can I interest you in my Contractor? He did all the work.

  26. Can we really ask questions? I didn’t read all the comments so may be someone else already asked.

Tell us about the flooring. What brand, color, etc. Where did you buy it?

    Casey Reply:

@Kat, Not sure on the brand or where it came from, our Contractor was in charge, but it is Bamboo, the color is Congac. A very dark chocolate/reddish brown.

  27. Yes. I have a question. Did you kiss the floors when you moved in? They are so purty.

    Casey Reply:

@Issa, Yes I did kiss them. And I still do on regular basis.

  28. What a transformation! I agree–the dark floors make the whole kitchen pop.

    Casey Reply:

@Meredith, Heh, the dark floors also help the white crumbs on it totally pop too.

  29. the floor is gorgeous! The overall thing is just lovely and welcoming

    Casey Reply:

@pixielation, Oh thank you! I’ve always wanted welcoming as an adjective in my house.

  30. It’s like you can hear the angels singing in the second picture! Seriously, it is beautiful.

    Casey Reply:

@Sunshine, Nope, that’s just me. It drives Cody nuts.

  31. When is your house warming party? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

    Casey Reply:

    Casey Reply:

@Must Be Motherhood, meh. off. back off mother of the squirrel licker.

    Must Be Motherhood Reply:

@Casey, I’ll have you know it was a racoon, not a squirrel, thank you very much. ;)

  32. Just gorgeous, simply gorgeous! Glad you got rid of the bubble ceiling lights. I hated ours, too!

    Casey Reply:

@Angie, They are now in a museum. And not one people want to go to either.

  33. Jealous. Plain and simple.

    Casey Reply:

@Carrie, sorry! but you can always come viiisssiiitt!

  34. That looks beautiful – like it comes from a magazine.

    Casey Reply:

(Off to IKEA cause OMG Must Have Those Thingies!)

    Casey Reply:

@amy2boys, Yes. The thingies are an absolute must.

  37. what? There was carpet in the kitchen? That is just about as bizarre as the carpet that was in my friend’s bathroom when he bought his place…

    It looks amazing now!

    Casey Reply:

@suze, Oh honey, we had carpet in the bathrooms too. BLECH.

  38. it’s lovely

    Casey Reply:

    @staciesmadness, thank you!

  39. ooh la la

    Casey Reply:

@Colleen, It reminds me of your never ending bathroom remodel. So worth it in the end.

    Colleen Reply:

@Casey, Oh man! I never thought that bathroom would ever be done. I swear we are still having issues with the tub caulk … and it took a whole year before that tub drain was working properly (and it took having the whole drain assembly changed out!).

  40. I’m gonna git me a new kitchen too! But it takes a move to a new house. Moving is overrated…but still better than having the house you’re living in be up for sale.

    Casey Reply:

@Rick, you could just claim you come with the house!

  41. Holy fineness! Bravo, you, bravo! Bon ape-everything!

    Casey Reply:

@amanda, That’s what I’m saying from now on. Bon ape-everything. Marvelous.

  42. holy cow. I’m pretty sure I heard you channeling gollum from the Lord of the Rings . . . my precious. ;)

    Casey Reply:

@Cherie, similar but with far less creep.

  43. Pretty! When we buy a house you should come design and decorate it!

    Casey Reply:

@Erin (Snarke), How about I give you all my magazines? I give more credit to Better Homes and Gardens than my own abilities.

  44. SO gorgeous! I really like the color. You are massively inspiring with your paint colors. I stole one color you used for my office and I may steal this one for my dining room! See? You’re the inspiration.

    Casey Reply:

@Jen L., It’s all about Sherwin Williams and his catchy theme song and plot to cover the Earth.

  45. Beautiful. Can you hook up my kitchen when you’re done.

    Casey Reply:

@Stacey, If you want it to look exactly like this, yes. Otherwise? IZ SPENT!
