Yes. It’s churchy. But I don’t care, because I’m churchy. And this? This is lovely.

Please, at least make it to 2:48 seconds. Because what he says? It’s totally true.

And how he says it? I dare you to not believe him.

Some of you may not believe it right now, but it’s so true.

There will be a time soon that I won’t believe it. But I will watch this, and I will read this.

And I will know that it’s all good, or it will be eventually.

Happy Sunday.

xx

  6. Kirsten says:

Heavenly Father gives us such wonderful gifts… and I am grateful to you, and to Elder Holland for sharing this message with us today!

  7. I think the message is awesome. I think that having a man tell a woman that she’s a wonderful mother as if it gives it more validation is unfortunate.

  8. A message that transcends denomination. I’ll share this.

  9. LOVE it! I grew up LDS and am very familiar with the support The Church shows mothers, but like Amy said, this transcends denomination. Thanks for sharing it Casey.

  10. Thanks, Casey. It was one of those Sundays where my toddler screamed his way through church and I wondered why I was even there. Now I remember.

  11. Love it. Elder Holland is my favorite apostle, too. Thanks for sharing!

  12. Happy Sunday to you to!

As I sit here in my PJ’s with tears streaming down my face.

    This.

    Exactly what I needed today.

  13. Caralee says:

I am in tears watching this….Thanks, I needed this today.

Motherhood is hard(especially when battling depression, it has me in its evil grasp yet again) and anyone who says different is lying. It is nice to know that when we as mothers feel so overwhelmed and that there is someone we can turn to that understands.

As always your blog is a breath of fresh air. Thanks.

  14. Elder Holland has always been one of my favorites.

Thanks for sharing Casey, I needed it.

  21. i have tears streaming down my face…i’m at work…not ideal. But that…it’s so true and so remarkably said.

  22. Thank you so much for sharing this. I have been feeling inadequate as a mom lately and needed this reminder. I put on my blog to share too!

  23. Absolutely beautiful. My almost three month old is a reflux and colic baby. So many nights I feel I fail her because I can’t make it all better. This reminds me that this time will pass, and that just by trying my best, maybe that is all God expects of me.

    Thank you for this.

  24. Really great video! I’m not churchy, but I loved the message. Thanks for sharing.

  25. Hang in there…There are such far-reaching dividends!
    Loved it!

  26. So very beautiful Casey. Thank you for sharing it.
Now… I need to go find a tissue.
