• I asked Cody what lies his mom used to tell him to keep him from doing stuff, he got a forlorn look on his face and said “But everything my mom told me was true.” Me too, buddy. We choose to perpetuate old wives’ tales and here’s 15 of them and why.

• With the grandest of intentions Addie and I started a little project for 2012, resolution it is not, fun it is.

• While I don’t choose who Addie is friends with, I give her plenty of my first choices for her to pick from. Alternately titled: My kid isn’t coming over becauseI don’t know where you keep your guns in your house.
