The bad news is that it hasn’t gotten above 45 degrees since we got to Florida Saturday morning.

The good news is that after a Midwestern winter 45 feels like heaven and we get the entire beach to ourselves.

Perfectly fair trade off as long as there’s sunshine (of which there is plenty.)

  1. Yikes! I’ll definitely have to check weather reports before we head south on Friday.

Still looks like Addie had a blast though.

@Colleen, It was much better today, as long as the wind is in the single digits and the sun is out things are much more bearable. (We’re pretty high up too, for Florida)

  2. I remember when we lived down there and so many people would be in parkas and we were in long sleeved t’s.

    Enjoy your private beach!

@domestic extraordinaire, We were asked today where we were from because apparently it’s not normal to play outside in February.

  3. Where in Florida are you? We will be heading to Clearwater beach on Wednesday. I know it is going to be cold but not as cold as PA!

@Kate, We’re on the gulf in Panama City beach, and dude, today was heaven. The weather said it was only 54 but the sun was out and there was no wind. Way better than Indiana in February.

  4. We enjoyed FL in February last year! Looks like a blast!
    And..
my favorite pic is the one with Addie and the reflection of the hotel or a building of sorts in her sun glass lenses. Great eye, Casey, great eye! ( gotta say it like my 7th grade softball coach ) :)

@Melissa, This is where I admit that was a total fluke. But thank you!

  5. Indiana misses you.

Soak up some sun for me.

    Cordoza.

@Just Shireen, I wish you were here. It would do your sun starved soul good.

  6. Sounds divine and looks amazing!
