Cody’s bummed we didn’t find any alligators, but about a dozen squirrels squirreling through the bushes made him jump clean out of his flip flops.

Shireen asked if we had the whole state to ourselves after seeing some of our photos from the week.

Short of Addie’s elderly snowbird friends at the pool we do have this place to ourselves, and it’s magical.

The best vacation we could have asked for.

Red flag? Wow. Rough water. By the way, PCB was where we went for vacation every summer (almost) when I was a kid. I haven’t been in several years though. On your way home, go to Ft Morgan, take the ferry across Mobile Bay and you’ll see “my” Dauphin Island. It’s a totally diffrent kind of beachy place.

  2. Love, love St. Andrews State Park. You can find the best shells there. If you haven’t been to Gulf World go – it is such a fun way to spend the day. Addie would love the sea lion and dolphin shows, well all the shows are pretty cool. My kids have always loved it – plus you can have your photo made kissing the sea lion if you can take his fish breath!

  3. I <3 Gulf Coast Florida. *sigh*

  4. Hubster is from Naples Florida so we are regular vacationers….I don’t think vacations get any better than Florida. I must say though….I only dream about capturing photos like these. ABSOLUTELY DIVINE. Breathtaking..seriously! My one request would be that you photograph a manatee….it’s not a vacation until you do!!!!

  5. Very beautiful photos Casey! Haven’t seen a bad one yet :)
Tell Cody to not feel too bad, we had to go to the Everglades to see one and even then, it wasn’t in the “wild.”

I live in Venice Fla(about 30 minutes south of Sarasota) and absolutley love it, but my FAVORITE Fla beaches will always be the emerald coast. Just beautiful.

  7. I live on the gulf coast of Florida and in my busy life I often forget the beauty that is just minutes away! Thanks for reminding me today with your pictures. Btw we used to have a pond by our house and we had our own alligator! They are everywhere down here!!!

  8. Even though the weather hasn’t been ideal it looks gorgeous and I’m so happy you’re all having an amazing time!

  9. Wow that park is amazing. You have to love the off season for trips.

  10. I think you just said it yourself. It’s time to move to Florida! It’s too magical to pass up.

  11. So pretty. Much prettier than my view this week. :) Though I can’t complain too much, this Indiana winter has been gracious thus far. Glad you enjoyed your trip.
