***This is a compensated review from BlogHer and Pantene Full and Thick***
About three months ago I admitted to losing my hair at 26 due to hormonal complications associated with PCOS. Now it didn’t help much that prior to losing my hair by the handful in the shower I normally had my hair cut in such a way that thinned it out immensely. While I am blessed to have lots and lots of naturally wavy/curly hair, it is very very fine and the best way I had found to have it cut was to always have it thinned out. It allowed my curls to come through and was never weighed down.
That is until I started losing it.
When your hair is already thinned out on purpose and you add actually losing it to the equation?
I SHED A LOT OF TEARS AND BOUGHT A LOT OF HATS.
With my last haircut I didn’t allow her to thin it out at all. And thankfully with some changes to my diet I stopped losing my hair and finally felt like it could begin to recover. So when I had the opportunity to try Pantene Full & Thick? I took it.
You see, I think a good hair day is one of best things that can happen to a girl. When I have a good hair day I don’t want to go to bed, I don’t want it to end. You know when it’s shiny, and bouncy and it curls juuust right? Not to mention how fantastic it is to be able to flip your hair around and be surrounded with the intoxicating smell of clean hair.
So far Pantene Full & Thick has been able to deliver just that. Slowly I’m regaining my glorious head of hair I had before hormones attacked my follicular livelihood. With a few more months of the right shampoo and some good trims to even out the hair I have with the hair I’ve lost I think I have a good hairy future.
Now Pantene wants to give you the opportunity to have the all the good hair days you can handle with a year’s supply of Pantene products and a $100 Visa Gift card. Can you just smell the deep conditioner and see the glittering highlights?
I can.

The element that I need to have a good hair day, is that it is oil free. I have the oilest hair known to man, and I cannot even go 24 hours without needing a wash. So when it is super clean, then it looks good.

I wonder if Panteen would actually work like this lady says. I know people who could benefit from having more hair and keeping the hair they have. It’s a serious problem for some people, and if they could find a cure that would be wonderful.

#1 element for a good hair day is when my hair shines and doesn’t look dry and dull. My hair is NOT dry, but for some reason it always looks dry and doesn’t have that super healthy gleam that other people have.
It makes me sad.

I have the same hair you describe- pretty curly, lots of it, but super fine individual strands. It is a conundrum I tell you. So when my curls dry without being too “fluffy” (not enough product) “frizzy” (weather related) or “crunchy & thin” (too much mousse, oops) then I’m a happy camper.

I get my good hair juju when I’ve got some volume to it. I’ve got pretty thick hair, but it’s heavy, so it gets weighted down pretty quickly. Just the right amount of volume and swing? I feel like I’m dancing through the opening credits of the Mary Tyler Moore show, throwing my hat in the air. Heh.

I’m already completely bald, because of a disease I have, so for me, the best hair days are the week or so after I get a new wig. When I did have hair, it was thick and curly, and what would make me feel great was when I could manage to have the top not be completely flat due to the weight of the rest of my hair.
Now, my husband is the one with great hair in this household. He’s had this long (like, past his shoulderblades) blond mane for as long as I’ve known him. And, being a typical guy, he would never ever ever use conditioner, so combing consisted of him tearing his hair out of his head trying to get through the tangles. Today I took him for a haircut and wow. They shortened and layered it, and he looks like a completely new guy, and was actually looking at PRODUCT. Like… CONDITIONER. Wonders will never cease(um, again, I think that I wrote a novel in your comments).

Sadly, a good hair day for me is when I don’t get that little halo of curly frizz around my face when it’s supposed to be slicked back in a ponytail. Which is every day.
I, too, have had hormonal issues that thin my formerly super thick hair. I think it’s finally starting to thicken up again after several years of losing it by the handful!

As a PCOS-er myself, I, too, know the pain of losing hair and what a good hair day can do.
For me, the best part of a good hair day is smooth volume. My hair tends to be frizzy when it has volume, so something that can give me lift while taming my naturally wavy hair is a godsend.

The number one element to my having a good hair day is something that I really can’t control, which is: good weather. And here in Ohio, there aren’t many days that fall into that category. I have fine wavy/curly hair (which is also on the thin side thanks to hypothyroidism, despite being controlled by medication), so any kind of rain/snow/humidity (which is 90% of the time here) makes even my best efforts go to ruin in a short time. Humidity is my nemesis!

A good hair day for me is a day with NO FRIZZ. The midwest humidity can really do a number on my ‘do. The damp air usually does just enough with my natural wave to make my hair all lumpy and bumpy with crazy little flyaways sticking out every which way.

When my curls behave, I feel like a million bucks. Curly hair can be a crapshoot… you never know if it’ll curl nicely or just fly off in eight thousand directions, so when I wake up and my hair doesn’t have any weird straight parts or frizzies sticking out everywhere, it makes me happy.

Like seven said, that good hair day feeling comes from having my curly hair actually curl properly. It tends to just do that half curl half wave thing, with extra frizz thrown in. But when it actually curls? I love it so.

A good hair day for me is a day when I get the combination of styling products and blow drying just right, and have NO FRIZZ. Which is trickier than it sounds because I live in Michigan, where we have “Lake Effect” humidity, and there are days where the second I step out of the shower, bits of my hair start swelling up and sticking straight out and up no matter what I do.
But those days when it’s frizz free and smooth as silk? Those are GOOD DAYS indeed.

My good hair day involves a lack of humidity. I normally straighten my very thick and dense, naturally curly hair. If it’s humid, my hair takes on a life of its own. a very, very terrifying life of its own. The best hair I ever had was when I spent a week in Colorado. The change in humidity from the extremes of Kentucky was a blessing.

Good hair days come for me when I can get my hair blow dried just right so that it covers up the ridiculous “cowlick” I have in the back. Actually, there’s like 3 of them that all conspire together some days, determined to make white, scalp-y lines at the crown of my head. The one thing I have to have to have a good hair day is for my hair to stay the way it looks when I leave my bathroom. Evidently I have a magic mirror that tells me my hair is full, flipped up in the right spots, lying flat in the right spots, is smooth, and makes me look beautiful. As soon as I walk out of my bathroom and outside, the Southern humidity takes over and my hair becomes his. So being able to conquer the humidity would give me endless good hair days. One can only wish!

When I can control the frizz my hair looks great. It is hard to find a product that controls frizz but does not leave hair greasy (hint got2B). I also use spray in conditioner. So a good day is a day free of frizz!

Best hair day is one where the humidity is juuuuust right- not too dry or then my hair is flat, not too humid because then it’s a big frizz ball. Somewhere in the middle I get nice springy curls.

A key factor in me feeling good about my hair is the timing of how fast I dry it after washing/conditioning and adding product. Usually I brush my teeth after that which gives enough time for the product to set – then I blow dry. Too long and my hair is flat, dull and stringy. Too short and it is so wet – it takes forever and I usually have a headache from holding my head upside that long.

Shine! For it to be shiny it has to be smooth, which means I had to spend 10 minutes blowdrying it after lucking out with whatever shampoo and conditioner I use. If I can pull it all together into a soft wavy halo of love it will shine!
