Comments Closed-Congratulations to ZealandsMom for winning!
the moosh has opened shop, the grand opening was last week.
Okay, so she’s a little low on merchandise, unless you’re looking for some 2.5 lb. weights, a sponge or some plastic plates. But really? The service is impeccable. And what you can’t see is that behind that curly mop is a photo of her parents. The true cornerstone of any start up venture.
With all the tea and cakes being served I’ve already forgotten that there was some sweat and slight frustration involved in putting it together, truth is the moosh helped me put it together and when we were all done I could see her beaming with pride at building her first business from the ground up. Literally.
The “grocery store” sign at the top reverses to “lemonade” meaning I can put her out on the street corner come summer and she can start earning college tuition. She’s already very convincing at selling imaginary tea and cakes so just imagine what she can do with the real deal.
The house of moosh is full of toys from Melissa and Doug. Our favorites being their puzzles. Or the cutting food. Or the stringing beads. Miss moosh had just as much fun with them when she was teeny tiny as she does now at the ripe old entrepreneurial age of five.
Want to win a Melissa and Doug Grocery Store/Lemonade Stand of your own?
Head on over to Melissa and Doug and tell me your favorite product, is it one you already own? Or one that you’ve always wanted? Leave a comment below with a valid email and your favorite product and you’re entered.
Want up to 4 more entries? Then do any or all of the following:
-follow Melissa and Doug on Twitter
-subscribe to the Melissa and Doug Blog
-subscribe to the Melissa and Doug Newsletter
Let me know which of the above you did (don’t lie or your pants will catch on fire) and you’ll have up to five chances to win a start-up company for your very own playroom.
Giveaway ends Monday January 18th and Midnight EST. Open to the US only. (Sorry Canada, but you have poutine, we do not.)
(This is an uncompensated giveaway. I like Melissa and Doug, always have, and you should too. I was provided with two toys, one to keep and one to giveaway to you.)

My daughter just got the slice and bake cookie set for Christmas. It is so fun and she loves it! The cookies velcro together and you can take them out of the tube and “cut” them into individual cookies and then the cookies velcro to the cookie sheet and there are “decorations” that velcro onto the cookies. It even comes with a cute little oven mitt. They would probably go really well with lemonade…

I don’t typically enter into giveaways, but I’m going to bite on this one. Why? Because I fought with everything I had to get my 2-year old the Deluxe Kitchen Set for Christmas and my husband denied me with every very good reason I came up with. The grocery stand is no kitchen set (my favorite item along with the cookie set) but it’s pretty darn cool if I do say so myself. I also hit the follow button on twitter and signed up for the newsletter.

We have the beads, stamps, stick horse, instrument set, several puzzles, and more that I can’t recall right now.
We LOVE it all. It plays well and (some of it) has been played with daily for going on 7 years now.

Oh, I am ALL OVER this one!!! I am a HUGE fan of M&D! The first toy we bought from them was a set of classic colored wooden blocks that came in it’s own wooden pull cart. I had some very similar to those growing up and LOVED them so we got some for Hannah for Christmas when she was 2 1/2. I can’t even begin to tell you how many ways she has used them….this girl has a imagination like no other! My personal favorite has been when she makes ice cream cones .

I’m so very afraid to go to the Melissa and Doug site. I’ve loved everything of theirs I’ve ever encountered, and visiting the site would be bad for the budget. I had no idea there was a lemonade stand/grocery store. How cute is that?!?

I have a wooden doll with magnetic clothes (like a paper doll, but wood?) and cutting food (pizza). Well, I don’t have it, my daughter does, and the quality is pretty amazing.
Oh, and I tweeted!

We too love Melissa & Doug products, and our hands down favorite is the Pizza Party set. The kids love making pizzas to order with the interchangeable velcro toppings, and it just happens to slide just perfectly into their play oven. We would love to use some of our long winter months to make play lemonade!

I love their puzzles that make sounds. Especially the farm animal puzzle. Because a two year old playing with a puzzle is cute, but a two year old playing with a puzzle and mooing like a cow simultaneously is even better.

Slice and bake cookie set! I bought it for my 2 yr old girl for Christmas and My hubby thought it was a silly idea – but he was wrong. It gets more play-time than anything else in the house (other than star wars, but she is the only girl with 3 brothers so that’s to be expected).

I think you can’t go wrong with a shape sorter, and we have the one from M&D. I really like a lot of their stuff, though, not only because it’s fun, but also because a lot of it is made out of REAL WOOD. I can only take so much plastic!

We heart Melissa & Doug at my house. Current faves are the sushi set and the fishing puzzle thing that comes with a pole to let you “catch” the puzzle pieces. We also love their alphabet blocks, and their stringing beads. So yeah, I guess you could say we’re fans!
