moosh in indy.

when the moosh met the smoosh(ies)

***This post is a review of a product my daugter and I were allowed to try and keep. I was in no way compensated beyond the toy and hysterical pictures that came as a result.***

I am not a crafty person. At all. If it can’t be made in a kitchen and eaten or made on a computer it doesn’t get made in my house.

Craft stores such as Michael’s and JoAnn’s are hardly ever (EVER) graced with my presence.

All of a sudden things changed, there’s this new toy you can get at both of the above mentioned stores called a Smooshie. (The name is what got me first, hello? That’s what we used to call my kid. Only after the fact did I realize that these mythical creatures reside in craft stores.)

A Smooshie is basically a monster body with a whole mess of parts you can put on however you desire. Sure you could make one, but why? They’re so cute and already made! No sewing required for only $9.99.

(Want to see our Smooshie desires? OKAY!)

You want to play with one don’t you?

OKAY!

I’m giving one away!

All you need to do is leave a comment telling me who would be the lucky recipient of the Smooshie and you’re entered!

Tweet about it for an extra entry.

You’ll have until midnight EST on Sunday August 23rd to get your entries in.

Good luck and may the Smoosh be with you!

Comments off.

i’m a nanny for 2 adorable little girls and they would love these! (obviously i would have to buy a second one so one doesn’t freak, lol…i don’t need that kind of stress!)

is this open to Canadians? If so, count me in!

my Squidge would really love a Smooshie!

If I won, my granddaughter Madison would get to play with it and eventually her little sister Amelia would too, after she arrives later this year and is old enough to play with it! :)

My seven-year-old son would be the lucky recipient of the Smooshie! His brothers each have really cool lovies to sleep with (the three-year-old has a bear with a g-tube that matches his from Build-a-Bear; we love them for being willing to customize toys with Durable Medical Equipment! The five-year-old has a “Wild Thing;” his is the one with the horns) and the seven-year-old (who is still a big ole baby at heart) has a little beanie dog that is falling apart and not big enough to hug. I’d love to give him something special of his own and he would love the silliness of the thing :)

My 15 month old would love it! All the colors and different things to smoosh! Entertained for hours!

My 3 year old daughter who is -obsessed- with all things potato-head like.. and this would be something I’d even be comfortable with her having around her little brother! What an awesome little toy! Thanks Moosh for the demo! ;-)

I would send it to my niece for her birthday! She would so love it- she’s creative and crafty (and 8)!

My niece, Ellie.

My Punkin would have a lot of fun with it (if he can get away from me)!

My daughter Ellie would get this. OMG. She would go bat**** crazy.

OMG! How cute! My daughter Abby would LOVE a smooshie. Like love.

Mine would go to the little boys I used to nanny for, who live in Singapore now — looks like the perfect weight and size to ship for a birthday gift!

My niece would be the lucky recipient.

I would give it to my two year old niece!

We call my daughter “the snuzzler” and she would love one of these!

My cute little 3 year old grandaughter would love this!

My grandbabies in St. George would get it. They need new toys.

My two-year-old would love this. Plus her baby brother and I would love it because she is finally learning to play by herself – so she could play with the smooshie and I could give him the attention he deserves :)

My 4yo would love it.

My fiance’s nickname for me is Smushy… he pronnounces it with a U (uhhsh), although I pronnounce it with the ooosh sound. So this toy reminds me of that, and its so cute!
But I wouldn’t keep it for myself, I’d give it to my cousin as a 3rd bday present. She’d love it!

I tweeted! http://twitter.com/aliengurl4004/status/3442397839

I would love this for my little girl! I could just see her love it and cuddle it no matter how ugly or scary it looked. So fun!

I mean seriously how stinkin cute are these!

My foster daughter would LOVE one of these cuties!

Those are so cute! I would totally give it to my Godson, he would love it!

It would be shared by all 4 kiddos that live in the family that I work with (along with their daddy and me…the nurse!)

My little guy would love this!

My son who just started Kindergarten would love this. That is so cool. And I agree, I am so un-crafty it is legendary.

both my boys’ birthdays are this week, they would love that!

My daughter M&M would love one of these!

My daughter (known online as Munchkin) would absolutely love one of these, especially as we’re in a big “monsters are scary” phase right now… she could a) make her own guard monster or b) make one so ludicrous as to shame the others into leaving.

for my sister’s four adorable children

My 5 year old grand daughter Hannah would be the lucky recipient of this cool toy!

I would totally gift this Smooshie to Cade and Emme (my nephew and niece- twins!) I would probably have to go buy another one too because of course they would have to have one each!

My 2.5-going-on-18 yr old daughter would be the recipient of this toy. She’s the queen of funny faces ala Yo! Gabba Gabba and would have a blast with this!

OMG! Cookie would love this! She’s only 2 but LOVES Mrs. Potato head which keeps her happy for hours (which inturn keeps mommy happy). This would be awesome!

My nephew, who is four, would love to receive this.

Sadly, my babies are too old for this but I would love to give it to my wonderful, adorable neice, Kayla!

Well, with three boys in my house, I’d have to say that the oldest would get the Smooshie, but then the twins would want one of their own, so I’d go and buy two more just to keep everyone happy.
So, bottom line, I would be the best winner for this give-away because I’d be BUYING MORE if I won! :)

Now that is an awesome toy. My daughter would love it!

I would give the crazy little creature to my niece who will be getting a real daddy next week! She and her mom have been on their own for a long time, but the wait paid off and an amazing man is joining our family!

My brother’s girlfriend’s sister (follow that again). She is 13, sweet, tiny and amazing and she would LOVE this!

My 2 1/2 year old daughter Sophie went poopy in the potty finally – and we have been looking for the perfect reward!!! A smooshie would be waaaaay cool (although the coolness factor of no more poopy diapers is way cool too!!)

I would be for my 20 mo old, but my 5 yr old would love it too.

Forget the kids, I want to play with this!!

I’d love to win this for my daughter. She’s turning 2 on Wednesday and I know she’d love it!!

My daughter is almost 3. She just came home from Ghana two weeks ago. Life has been a little difficult while we adjust to Bubbles (her online name). Sometimes, she makes me feel like a smooshie.

My daughter Amelia would get this toy.

My daughters Shevy and Devorah would no doubt fight over it, but I still want it!
Or, I could save it for the one I’m cooking up for spring!

My Sprogling would get a kick out of this. Much more toddler friendly than a Mr. Potato head.

Ooooo, my youngest daughter has a bday coming up… she would love it!

my son, Brannan, aka squeakypants, squeaks, squeakers, little pants, oh you name it…

He would enjoy it.

I would give it to my two lovely granddaughters, Angie and Hannah. More sharing practice!

My sweet 5 yo who is about to start kindergarten would love it as a first-day-of-school gift (and then his 1 year old brother would take it and hide the parts wherever he hid my cell phone).

Mara would love it!

Me! I would be the lucky recipient! Okay, so my kids would claim it as soon as they saw it, but I would play with it while they were in bed!

My 5 year old son would love one of those. Monsters and “crafting”? The perfect combo for him!

My son Luke still hasn’t outgrown his love of stuffed animals and I know he would love it! If he won- his 14yo sister would probably want one too!

I would give the smooshie to my BFF sons (aka my nephews)…they are 4,2.5, and 7 months and they can be monsters at times (the oldest is autistic), so they would love this. Plus the name is great!

Kari

I would give it to my son!

My daughter is leaving for college in a couple of weeks. I think this would be super cool for her dorm room!

I’m in. My younger daughter is five and since I won’t let her do crafts at my house, this would be like a cheat, right?

My 5 year old niece would just love this kind of toy! She is starting kindergarten next week and is very very nervous! And she just loves anything crafty.

Oh, my little girl would LOVE this!!

My sister in law just had her second baby and I would LOVE to give this to my nephew (her first baby) for being such a good big brother. He would absolutely LOVE this!!

sooo freakin cute – my son Murphy would LOVE this! Or maybe i would love it more? I promise to share with him.

Is it wrong to say me? It is? Okay, then my 4-year-old daughter would get it. Adorable!

my 3 year old would love this.

My own little “smooshie” would LOVE it, we have called her smooshie since her 4d ultrasound! Shes 4 now and answers to smooshie when we call her that.

Oh my how cute is that! My 20 month old little girl would love that. She is Slightly on the spazy side, and that looks like she might actually play with it:)

My little boy would love a smooshie. He may sit thru sacrament meeting!

I LOVE this! My four-year-old would go crazy for it, so she’d be the recipient. :)

Um. I would LOVE one of those! I might have to share it with my kids, but I could hide it from them too…

This would be so much fun for my toddler son! And I need a break from the whining, so we all win!

Oh, goodness! My Dean would LOVE one! He would try to eat its horn for sure. ;)

I think my 3 year old son would love this!

My friend’s daughter. She’s so funny, I can’t wait to see what combinations she’d come up with!

That is so cute! I bet my daughter would love it!

Love it! I’ve seen these a few times recently, and I would love to give one to my 2 year old son. I’m sure we’d have a blast playing with it :)

Aww, that’s so cute. My 3 year old son would love it!

My daughter Rosey would be the intended one…but soon I’m sure her brother Cass would forget his big boy status and pounce on it too…

oh gosh, Maggie would LOVE IT. She always points to the goofy stuffed groundhog at the lottery ticket counter at the grocery store, wearing neon yellow swimming goggles. (Yes. that’s what I said. I LOVE PENNYSLVANIA.) So something this silly-looking would definitely catch her attention!

My boys would SO love that!! You know, assuming they could pry it out of my hands!! =)

Dude my little monsters would LOVE that! Count me in too!

My son, Henry would love a little monster to play with once he gets big enough!

My daughters would love this!

so my little guy (http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/jelWIJrG5j3oq6frUJVQLg?authkey=Gv1sRgCKqm77qtweDQhAE&feat=directlink) would LOVE to get his paws on this.

BUT. i certainly wouldn’t put Smooshie through such torture. ;-)

How about my sweet little niece named Ella? She’s juuust about to turn 2.

The Chicken would totally dig this & probably drive me uber insane with it.

They are adorable! I bought one as a cousin’s birthday gift and my four year-old was so jealous. Winning one would make her day!

Officially? I would win it for my 9 month old. But I would keep it safe in my room until she’s big enough for it… heh.

My little walking disaster, Jackson, would LOVE that toy. Anything that can be torn up and built again without getting into trouble is a good thing for him.

My kids would love this!

Also, tweeted!

My 5 year old Lucas. Although I might play with it more than him…if we’re being honest.

Am I too late? Pretend I’m in California… please? My 2 year old would absolutely love this, and she looks just like your Moosh! (Although we won’t have a mom-judging contest, right?)

i like to take pictures.
