How’s it going for you?

  1. Ah, the kitty in the picture 6th to the last is the sister of my little Bucket cat. I’m glad that little Audrey is still alive. 🙂

    Casey Reply:

@Becky K, I wish that cat liked me more. Alas, she’s a shadow kitty.

    Becky K Reply:

It must run in the family, because Bucket does NOT like anyone outside of the family. She usually tries to rub up to people and hisses and tries to bite them when they attempt to touch her. All the deacons in our old ward knew to steer clear of her…

  2. Lovely pictures.

  3. Casey – these are so gorgeous! Truly amazing work!

  4. There are so many of these that I love. Your pictures are wonderful.

  5. your photographs make me swoon. that is all.

  6. You, Miss Casey, are amazing. I very much look forward to the pictures you share. Thank you.

  7. I love the post, Casey! You are really talented.

  8. I think I love the young lady with the sweet red hair and the photo of the cat with the brilliant blue eyes the most! Beautiful photos!

    Casey Reply:

@Deborah, Isn’t she lovely? I just snapped that one when I was trying to show something to someone else and I love it.

  9. Phenomenal! Your photos are gorgeous…so talented.

  10. Allyson/HBMomof2 says:

I wouldn’t give a crap about 365 if I could take even 1 of the ones you have up there. 365 crappy ones don’t hold a candle to 135 fantastic ones. There is no fail here.

    Casey Reply:

@Allyson/HBMomof2, You can, you can! Promise! It takes me 60 to get even one I kind of like!

  11. Stunning! My camera still feels like a foreign appendage but I’m making more of an effort to keep a camera with me all the time and play with settings, etc. I have a long way to go but I’m having fun.

    Casey Reply:

@Melanie @ Mel, A Dramatic Mommy, Oh man, that moment it becomes second nature? That’s a good moment.

  12. So beautiful!! I need to pick up my camera more!

    Casey Reply:

@ClassyFabSarah, Did you get a new one? OF COURSE YOU NEED TO PICK IT UP MORE!

    ClassyFabSarah Reply:

    @Casey, Yep! And don’t worry – it’s a Cannon.

  13. You are so talented! I love your work so much.

  14. Your pictures are amazing so who cares if you failed the 365 project. I would pass on it any day to have pictures like yours.

  15. These are amazing. You motivate me Casey.

  16. gosh you are talented

  17. I’m so in love with the reflection shot. Stunning!

    Casey Reply:

@Camels & Chocolate, Heh, funny thing about that shoot, I couldn’t get them to stop kissing. That’s all they did! It got awkward. I actually had to force them to look at me at one point or they wouldn’t have any of their faces!

    Camels & Chocolate Reply:

@Casey, Haha that IS super awkward. When Scott and I got married this spring, we were the polar opposite: Our photog kept asking us to kiss and hold hands and I was way too embarrassed to do so! Not one for PDAs so much.

  18. This post has made me feel MILES better about my own failed 365 project. Not that my pictures are anywhere near this good, but still.

    And. The reflection shot? Genius.

By the way, I had to type and retype the word ‘genius’ no less than 6 times to get it right. Clearly that’s not a word I would use for myself at the moment.

    Casey Reply:

@Cecily R, Definitely is my downfall. See? I already misspelled it. (Spell check FTW!)

  19. I’m not doing as well either. I think the last time I checked I had 60-something!

    Casey Reply:

@Mim, I had 40 or so…then I went back through a couple of nights ago and realized I’ve taken a lot more that I didn’t give proper credit to at the time.

  20. They’re gorgeous, Casey! I especially love the one of the couple at the fountain!!!

  21. I need to count.

  22. The only thing I think I could successfully commit to for 365 days is eating. Or sleeping. 🙂
Lovely, lovely pictures, dear Casey! I’m awfully glad you like to take pictures because you sure are good at it.

    Casey Reply:

@Mary, I’m glad you let me do it. 🙂

  23. YES.

That poppy makes me want to wear a big red poodle skirt with a yellow cashmere sweater and swirl around and around in a circle on a field of green.

  24. wow…gorgeous!! my favs are the hands with I love you and the tombstone. the colors are amazing.

  25. Those are awesome!! LOVE the 3rd shot and the one with shoes and speaker!

  26. Wow, I love ALL of these… ESPECIALLY the one with the reflection in the water. Breathtaking. 🙂

  27. Those pictures are awesome.

  28. So many beautiful pictures. I love the aqua floral dress. Thanks Moosh for your comment on my blog.

  29. All of the pictures are lovely! I like that sweet baby girl…very lovely picture. Also, I remember you being a big dyson fan…are you still as impressed with your dyson now as you were when you first got it? I’m thinking about making the investment. I take cleaning very seriously.

  30. These are all amazing, but that second shot… oh my, those eyes! Breathtaking!

I love the affect of the water reflection of the kissing couple, wonderful framing on that shot.

  31. Wow! The one with the reflection of the kiss is so clever and beautiful – I went back to look at it three times!

  32. oh my stars, where do I begin?
I love and have always LOVED your photos.

Just always remember that you may be happy taking them, but you also make people looking at them happy too.

  33. I just wrapped my 365 (and started again) – and the thing for people intimidated by the process is this: Not every shot has to be a perfect shot. I know I have some REAL DUDS in my collection. I’m not a pro. But, i managed to take a handful that I’m very proud of — and even better than that – to watch your year unfold in pictures is an amazing experience.

Remind me again, though – what is that SUPAH-AWESOME lens you said was so fab? I got a lens I was hoping to be like my 50 with more flexibility and frankly? I don’t love it.

  34. I’m at 173 and still hoping to end up at more than 365 so I can do a little switching and such. Thanks again for the brilliant idea!

  35. Oooh, I love the one with the converse/amp! Really really nice!!!
