So I had this brilliant idea to do NaBloPoMo this month. (You know, where I post everyday for a month?)

It’s good for me, I’m always happy when I do it.

But it’s only May 2nd, it’s 10:52 PM and I’ve spent the last ten minutes staring at a blinking cursor.

Oddly enough I made an awful lot of you you giggly and uncomfortable yesterday with the whole birds and the bees talk. A lot of you emailed me privately to voice your concerns about the transation of First Corinthians Chapter 7 Verse 5 that Diaper Diaries uses in her challenge. In my religion we read from and study out of the King James Version of the bible and the translation Diaper Diaries gave is from the New Living Translation of the bible.

Because I don’t.

No matter what religion you’re a part of or not a part of (*most*) babies are only going to get here one way.

I was just lauding the glories of loving the one your with. Regulary.

SO. Now that we got religion and sex out of the way in the first two days of May, anything else you want to know?

  1. Kristin says:

I LOVED your post yesterday!!! I follow you because you tell it like it is. Thanks!

  2. I guess politics is next, right?

  3. How dare you suggest a woman sleep with her husband. I’m looking forward to more “controversial” posts this month! 🙂

  4. Same religion as you and I didn’t care, the point is the challenge. I am in that boat – 7-month-old baby, our relationship has suffered because of it. I want to know (I ask all my friends this) how you and Cody keep the love alive – not sex, but dates you do together? How you make sure you don’t fall into a roommate routine?

  5. If you’re looking for other topics, I am fascinated by other blogger’s start – why did you start? What got you hooked? How did you go from new blogger to flying to New York?

  6. Casey, may I say two words:

I use the KJV, but it is not the only reliable translation out there, and I am glad someone else gets that. The Scripture passage used in her challenge says the same thing in both the NLT, NIV, KJV, NASB, ESV or if you want to get into foreign translations… LSV, RVR…
Or old manuscripts- the Textus Receptus, The Byzantine, the Majority, the Eclectic… (and on and on) Paul’s advice is the same. Don’t withhold sex in marriage. Sex is not a weapon. In fact, it is one of mankind’s greatest bonding experiences. It is the actual physcial fusing of what marriage makes a couple: one flesh.

  8. I’m always floored over some of the things people email you over. I really, REALLY think some people take themselves waaaaaaaay too seriously. Good grief. If only I had so much free time to e-stalk you over Bible versions.

Good for you for celebrating the good thing you and Cody got goin’ on!

  9. Casey, I don’t think you’ve informed us yet what was up with that bloody legs photo!!

  10. Wait. People were a little miffed because you said married couples should have sex? Am I missing something here?
