NaBloPoMo is over.

I gave almost all I had to give.

You learned about my sordid past, how I met Cody, how I fell in love with Cody, how I became a Mormon, what a wicked awesome baker I am, how I got fat after marrying Cody, how I was an infertile science experiment, how I lost 60 pounds while pregnant, what a raging bitch I was when pregnant, how I overdosed when I was pregnant, how I almost threw my kid in a fire, that I dislike Utah, I have a best friend who takes lovely photos, I make out with pillows, I fake it for doctors AND I lock my kid in her room with bungee cords. Oh, and don’t forget all the Mormon pride I slung around like snowballs.

PHEW. That’s not even all of it.

So now’s your time to put out.

I want EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU (ALL OF YOU, YEAH, YOU) to delurk on this post. Even if you just say “yo”. But if you’re really feeling ambitious let me know what posts should be included in my “Best Of” collection. I want all of you accounted for, because you’re the only reason I didn’t give up on this madness when I was all hopped up on the Dramamine three nights ago.

So go, delurk, comment, NOW. See that little balloon right down there that says “Dazzlements”? Yeah? Okay click it, enter your name (you can even leave it blank and be known as anonymous), your email (it can even be a fake one if you’re that shy) and if you don’t have a URL leave that spot blank. Clicky “Submit Comment” and you’ll make me smile.

Haven’t I worked hard enough for it?

  1. Okay, I’m late. But I’m commenting.

  2. Sorry I lost your blog and just refound it….Still love it.

  3. I’ve been reading your blog for awhile… but I think I just missed this post. So here I am, delurking. You’re hilarious.

  4. I was just reading through all of your old posts and I actaully had to look up “delurk” to know what the heck you were talking about.

    I’m slow.

I love your blog. Keep telling us your innermost thoughts and feelings…PLEASE!!

  5. I just found your blog tonight. I haven’t gone into many of the archives, however I have laughed and cried to your experiences tonight. I loved the treadmill blog as well as the Dr. Hottie blog. I’d have to say the most moving was definitely your overdose blog. I will be checking out your blogs religiously from now on. Thanks for sharing your life with us!

  6. Wow – good stuff. Welcome to my feed reader.

  7. What J said.

  8. I’ve been reading your blog today from the beginning to now. I can’t quit you!

From one crazy to another, keep up the good work!

Sally’s last blog post..It can’t ALL be witty banter

  9. I was referred to your blog by a friend and have still yet to read all your posts. But I’ve read alot of your posts and WOW. I know you want to be a kickarse blogger and I’m sure I’m not the first to tell you “Congratulations! You’re a kickarse blogger!” You’ve got it all, baby: chortles and sniffles. So, even though I have tons of questions, I’m only gonna ask one: How the heck do you have time to keep up on your blog AND be the world’s most supreme baker? (I’m really excited to try the chocolate cake and su-poib icing!)

    dana’s last blog post..Warmth Continues

  10. you seem to have a lot of readers! I found this page through random stumbling and I have read everyone of you entries. I commented on 2, one being the suicidal skeleton named Akmed… and the other being your trip to the pysch ward. I really enjoyed reading your blog and I hope you right more in the future. You confidence and integrity are amazing. You are amazing. I hope more people get to read your blog and realize that they are not the only ones living a normal yet eventful life full of things they never want to talk about. You have said what we want to but are afraid to. So for this I thank you.

I mentioned this in my other post, but I find it so coincidental that you call your daughter the moosh, because I as well call my daughter moosh or mooshie on a regular basis. I dont know whether this is just a name you use to keep her real name private, or whether this is a nickname you use but I think its cute either way!

oh and I swear I saw your double on Law & Order last night… sorry had to add that in… 🙂

  11. Like Shannon above me, I also started reading because of a random stumble into your blog. I then clicked archives and three days later here I am. Three days in which i have managed to catch up in spite of a full time job and university. I am just totally in love with your writing and your honesty and not least of all, your beautiful little girl. My boyfriend and I have been suffering from an addiction to pictures of the moosh. Sadly, the previous entry didn’t really help.

Also I wanted to thank you for clearing up a lot of misconceptions about your church. I was leery when I first read you were LDS, I won’t lie. I have read and studied a lot of different religions but yours is one of few which I’ve never had the pleasure of speaking to a real live person of that faith. Granted I haven’t spoken to you either (though honestly sometimes it feels like I have!) but a putting a real person’s explanation to the idea of your church has helped me a lot in understanding what it is all about. I’m not leery anymore (quite to the contrary). I just wanted to thank you for that.

Btw, I totally saw someone that resembled Cody in a commercial and thought “Hey! I know that guy!” I had to remind myself I do not in fact know any of you.

    Sad. Sad for me definitely.

    Love from Chicago,

  12. I found you through stumble upon and you are my new blog crush. I’m almost all caught up on your archives, and when I get to your latest post I will weep because then what will I do?

  13. Ditto to Heather.
BTW, also LDS and lived in UT for 15 yrs (S t i l l NOT a mormon mom)
Now back to the land of my roots where we lie lie lie about how we REALLY feel about summers but it’s dry heat so it’s ok. (AZ)

  14. I just discovered your blog.

I have a Mormon-themed blog about my adventures in Indianapolis, too.

  15. I love your blog, but I hadn’t gone back and read any of the archives. I enjoyed reading the posts linked to in this post! I enjoy your posts on Mormonism, because it’s nice to hear the perspective from an everyday person who I relate to instead of the media/books/fanatics. Also, moosh is just sooo cute, I want to pinch her cheek!

  16. I’m delurking. I just found your blog today, so I don’t really have any suggestions for your “Best Of” collection. I’ll get back to you later.

  17. Found your blog and love it. I am high functioning bi-polar (or at least that’s what they tell me) and have seen the dark side as well. Your moosh is precious and you seem wonderful. Bravo.

I am from China and also am speaking English, tell me whether I wrote the following sentence: “J taylor, beckles willson, and wolfedivision of child health, university of sheffield, uk.”

    🙁 Thanks in advance. Houston.

  20. Yo. I am an avid reader and never delurk. Sorry, I’ll try to more often!
