So the lovely Jenny over at Absolutely Bananas has started a monthly segment on real beauty tips from regular old mamas like myself. AND WHOO DO I HAVE A DOOZY FOR YOU. (with before and after pictures!)

Introducing CARGO One Base. A Concealer that blends out like a foundation.

I heart you One Base.

Take me freshly bathed.

Before One Base.

Scary right? I have hundreds of little red capillaries busted up all over my face from nine months of vomiting while pregnant. My dream has always been to find something out there that covers these little buggers in one step and leaves me mostly make up free. Concealer was always to obvious so I’d have to balance it out with foundation and always ended up looking a little Tammy Faye.

Enter One Base. (cue chorus of ANGELS.)

Just One Base.

That is all I have on my face. Honestly! It takes me two minutes. No brushes, no sponges, no intense blending. I could leave the house like this and feel human. Amazing. If I’m feeling really dedicated? Mascara, lip gloss…TA DA!

After, glorious after.

Thank me later.

Oh and another comment… I read your blog daily. I will comment more often. Love and miss you.

  22. It can be found at and I’m sure other places on the net. If you have a Sephora store near you, you can go and try before you buy to get the right shade.

  23. Stop looking so beautiful. Sheesh, looks and wit, too.

    You’re killin’ me!

  24. Will definitely have to try that. Thanks for doing the demo too…

  25. Yer hot! SO happy you found something for those buggers. I know they have been bothering you forever! LOVES YOU!

  26. Size 4?! I was a size 4 once.

    When I was 3. 😛

  27. Oh I’m definitely gonna have to get me some o’dat.

Will it make me as cute as you too?

  28. Wow! I’m a believer! And I’ve seen you in person and I remember thinking you had such fantastic skin. (And I’m totally jealous of those blue eyes.)

  29. Nice. But honestly, I thought the before picture was the after picture, until I scrolled down.

I started using Smashbox Primer and it does the same thing. Been meaning to blog about it, maybe I will now.

  30. I think I need that. Thank you, Moosh in Indy.
