School has started yet again.

But for the first time in eight years it hasn’t started for us.

This one is dedicated to all my dear graduate school widows…be you first year or fourth…

Someday you will get your significant other back.

You will be able to go to the parkย  at a moments notice and not have to worry about finals, tests or boards.

And when you do get them back?

They’ll be even better than you remember.

At least that’s what happened to us, and what I hope happens for you.

  1. @Carmen, Oh and thank you. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. @Chrysta, I overuse the use of caps ALL. THE. TIME.
    I can embrace the caps.

@Casey, Whew! Wouldn’t wanna get blacklisted by the moosh…

  3. @Olivia, Um, well. He’s a lawyer now. No other beesh is moving in and taking all my blood sweat and tears away from me.

  4. @lceel, Someday I hope to become SWMBO.
    Pipe dreams!
    I have ’em!

  5. @Rick, We had the moosh in a 350 sq ft apartment.
    Very cozy and uh, cozy.

  6. @Jen, job shmob. (kidding, good luck sister!)

  7. @Ohh Betsy!, I think you mean SERIOUSLY! SO! BLESSED!

  8. I just found your site. LOVE it! AND more importantly I am starting my first month of being a grad school widow. In a city that I just moved to 1006 miles away from anyone that I know. AND obviously finding a job right now…almost impossible. Any tips on how to cope?

    @Heather, Thank you!
    Biggest bit of advice?
Do your own thing and don’t schedule him in or expect anything of him. Otherwise you’ll just end up disappointed.
    Sad but true.

  9. Good for you two! My husband was not a happy camper when I was in grad school and I don’t blame him one bit.

  10. I love it!! I love the pictures and am so happy for you to finally have Cody back!! You were a trooper and it’s definitely a plus that you had the moosh around! You two are so gosh darn cute! ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. I so want to go back to school, with both of the girls older now, but at the same time I think I may wait the extra 6 years until they are both off. With Giggles in High School now and The Chicken about to start Middle School and hubs working the hours that he does-they need me!

So happy for you to have your Cody back again! How goes the house progress?

  12. Hey! It’s your Landsend Sweater! I’ve got mine too!

  13. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these pictures. They just make me happy. And make me happy for you!
